| The White Stripes peform their headlining set at the Wireless O2 Festival at Harewood House |
IT WAS nearly a cancelled washout, with extensive flooding and worries over whether the trains would run, but none of that dampened the spirits of festival-goers on the first day of the O2 Wireless Festival.
Thousands of music lovers descended on Harewood House, between Leeds and Harrogate, to hear the likes of The White Stripes, Queens of the Stone Age, The Thrills and The Bees.
Far from being rained off, people had a great time, with the adverse weather conditions bringing them closer together.
All the facilities were easily walkable in five to ten minutes, lending Wireless the feel of a small village. |
